for me, now, CUBElab is over. the work has run out of time and so will not progress any further. overall it went really well. it was quite difficult at first - as i mentioned before, i don’t really have a studio practice so it took me a while to get into it; to get my head into the right space and figure out what i wanted to do. The work began by being influenced by the architecture of manchester and of the space itself, but as it evolved i became more and more involved in the relationships between each work. angles began to mirror each other and lines from one piece would be picked up by another. sometimes this was intentional, sometimes it happened quite by chance. in the end it could really be perceived as one work.
