Assimilate

'Assimilate' is a video morphing sequence lasting 1 hour. During the film
an image of myself changes into that of six 20th centuary artists and back. Each change takes 10 minutes and is almost imperceptibly slow.
With this piece i was trying to suggest that, because I am aware of the
work of these artists and their methods, a piece of them exists in my own
work. Even though I am trying to produce original work I am continually
informed by what has gone before and subconciously appropriating ideas from
hundreds of sources in my own memory.
