updates on experiment003. i think it’s starting to get somewhere now.

experiment003 is occupying most of my time at the moment - perhaps i should give it a title? i quite like the list of experiments though, as that is what they really are. i’m not really planning on making finished pieces for the residency - a particular part of the work may become ‘finished’ but i see this more as a series of ongoing explorations. some parts will run their course, others will develop and evolve.
i don’t normally have this much time actually in a space - to build, contemplate and alter the work - i’m not really used to it. i usually spend about four frantic, long days completing a work before the show opens. this time there isn’t really a ‘show’ of my work and i’m free to poddle along at what ever pace i feel like (sometimes slow, sometimes frantic - you have to set yourself targets) safe in the knowledge that there is no real deadline other than that which is self-imposed - the one that wants to make sure that there is something new for you to see when you return to CUBE, or this site, in a week or so.
for me it is important that the space seems alive, as if it is growing and changing.
