I visited The Coldstones Cut last week to help install a concrete dome in the middle of the structure. I took a few photos of the quarry, the structure and the steel armature I made that the dome was to be formed around.

Recent aerial photographs of The Coldstones Cut, a large public artwork by Andrew Sabin currently being built at a quarry near Pateley Bridge in Yorkshire. The finished work will present visitors with an outstanding view of the quarry and surrounding countryside.
I have been working on this project for the last few years producing autoCAD drawings and 3D models of Andrew’s designs for the work.

In progress images of new work for All Systems Go, being installed in Southall, West London.
Last night I went to see Flight Of The Conchords at Wembley Arena. I took a couple of photos on my rubbish camera phone. It makes it look like we were much further away than we actually were.
It was an excellent night with many moments of tear-inducing laughter, one highlight being the new madrigal-style song ‘To Woo A Lady’ (the actual performance I saw on Youtube here).

I’ll be talking about my work in Newcastle-under-Lyme on 14 May, and then exhibiting new work in Southall, West London in early June.
The talk is for the New Generation Space Project and is ‘aimed at artists of all ages, who wish to develop their skills and knowledge further.’ I’ll be talking about how my work and practice has developed over the years.
The exhibition is for Departure Gallery, a ‘London-based contemporary art gallery exhibiting in temporary and permanent spaces in London and throughout the UK.’ More info on this to follow.
